I have a strong intrest in learning the art of travel writing, I have traveled to 50 countries with a backpack , trips I began in the early 70s. I wrote long discriptive letters, took hundreds and hundreds of pictures. I now want to continue to travel, hopefully around the world. I’d like to learn about travel writting, how to get published. I realized I really enjoy the research involved in Budget travel, not so much inclusive vacations. And I also realized most of the times I spoke with travel agents, I was able to find a cheaper flight then they had.
And I rather not work for 1 company, which is why I want to be independent. Any advice ?

I would like to go on a trip for about 3 or 4 months after the summer 
But none of my friends can, or want to come along for that long…

Can you tell me what you paid for the courses and how long it took you to do it? I am thinking of making a career change and have always done the travel arrangements for my family and group events.
