    ok what is a wiping ring??? i wish i new…but there is an oil ring that keeps the oil out of the combustion chamber. it basically keeps the oil and fuel separated so the engine doesnt smoke.

    that middle point in a diesel piston is designed seperate the fuel and concentrate the conbustion in that inner radius of the piston

    I also had a Blaster piston break the skirts off of it. Pretty sure it resulted from wear, and It was starting to get some piston slap before it broke. I would recommend a forged piston when you ebuild.

    I forgot to add that when using nitrous, the rings need to be set differently. Some people don’t know that and add nitrous as an afterthought to their engines.
