Your clutch is probably going. No friction between the clutch and flywheel = can’t go into gear.

hey just a small question..what could cause a clutch not to fully engage(disconnect the connection between the engine and the gearbox) when you push down the clutch paddle. I have this issue with my car sometimes…Even when i press the clutch paddle all the way down still it maintains some connection so i cant shift gears…thanks

I think on my 92 bmw e34 something is not adjusted correctly, I just change the flywheel disc and clutch plate with a high performance setup, it sounds like the throwout bearing is riding on the pressure plate making winding and scraping noise
