    Ha ha
Irish and French built Ottawa. The French were one of the first, Mr. Norwegian.

For Christ sake, if you don’t want to learn French then that fine. But think of all the opportunities and advantages you or the entire nation might loose.

If everyone in the world would be bilingual in what ever languages their would be less intolerance.

I am going moving to Sweden in a few months, and hope to learn Swedish. Do you speak Norwegian?

I was talking about Ottawa..I know the french were here first, the metis iirc. Im not being a bigot, I speak the truth. If you don’t realize it, you are either very stupid or very gullible.

Actually, you are the idiot. Trudeau didn’t know it then but ANY country that is bilingual always has issues with the other side. I would want to separate too if I didn’t do anything for the country except to **** it up and make it worse for everyone like the french do. Canada used to be a lot better before the french were here, which includes Ottawa. All the crimes you see committed in Ottawa are committed by french people. Just look at their last names. Leblanc, Roucheford, etc.

  7. GenghisJoe on November 4th, 2008

    Tu es un idiot, Tabarnac.

Off course they are Canadian. Trudeau, Chretien, Dion and many many other were and are proud Canadians! Only 30% of Quebecers want to separate. Know why they want to separate? Because they are fed up with morons like you and such stupid comments as yours.

It’s people like you that destroy beautiful things, for example Canada. Canada’s major success for what it is respected in the world is bilingualism. And you want to destroy it. You are a barbarian.

  8. bloodrageX5 on November 5th, 2008

The french are NOT Canadians. All they want is a seperatist nation so in fact, they are of another country and are there not Canadian.

  9. GenghisJoe on November 7th, 2008

    Really?

I call you a traitor of Canada then. Calling fellow Canadians as Frogs is vulgar.

  10. bloodrageX5 on November 8th, 2008

The french are doing a good enough job of that already. Actually, Canada was DISCOVERED by Norwegians (my ancestry) but in terms of the country you are correct. Where’s your proof that 9 million speak french as a first language? And even though Ottawa may lie on the border, it doesn’t mean we are the same province and therefore shouldn’t be getting FRENCH news on tv. No one is Ottawa gives a crap what the frogs are doing.

  11. GenghisJoe on November 11th, 2008

Do you want Canada to fall apart?

Actually, almost 9 million Canadians speak French as their first language.

Why learn French? It’s the second largest language in the country, Canada was born French, French Canadian culture is a thing Canadians might be proud of (Montreal the second largest French speaking city in the world!), Ottawa lies on the language border.
That is enough why to learn French, as a Canadian IMO.

I don’t know anyone who regrets learning a foreign language. Vive le Canada!

  12. bloodrageX5 on November 12th, 2008

Why should I change? I’ve had 4 years of french emersion. I don’t see the french learning english and besides its stupid for this country to be bilingual for only the 2 million+ people who speak french only.

  13. GenghisJoe on November 16th, 2008

IMO it’s a Canadian’s duty to at least try to learn French. Refusing to do so, IMO, questions someones patriotism.

All Canadian Elites are bilingual. When was the last time we had a prime minster that didn’t speak both languages?

  14. GenghisJoe on November 18th, 2008

Educated people outside Ontario and Quebec speak French. Only Rednecks and Hillbilly s refuse to learn, educate them selves.

100-200 years ago people used to say: “why should I learn how to read and write? Most of the population is alphabet.”
Don’t look at the majority of the population. Do what is supposed to be done. If the majority would eat **** for breakfast, would you too?

If you don’t like bilingualism move to the US. Wait… They might have Spanish as their second language soon!

  15. bloodrageX5 on November 19th, 2008

Just because its supposed to be a bilingual country, doesn’t mean it should be. And how many people speak french outside of ontario and quebec? Not enough to count.

  16. GenghisJoe on November 20th, 2008

The us canada is bilingual country only stupid people dont want to the us canada is bilingual country only stupid people dont want to have just english move to have just english move to the us canada is bilingual country only stupid people dont want to the us canada is bilingual country only stupid.

  24. travelvideo on December 5th, 2008

I don’t think I know all about travel. I’m saying, I’ve been there for a few weeks and find the French influence very positive and most of the French speak English but most of the English do not speak French!
    You’re neighbors for God’s sake!

Maybe, instead of thinking you know everything about travel, which you don’t, come down to Ottawa and stay a few weeks, you’ll see exactly what I mean. And why should I learn french, last time I checked, this was Ontario. If you want french go to Frogland Quebec
